Nursery Mice Environment

Welcome to the Nursery Mice classroom. Our environment is key to our learning journey. Making it inviting, child initiated, colourful, exciting and forever changing. Our classroom gives ample opportunities for practising pre writing, reading, fine motor skills and mathematics as well as providing activities that encourage personal, social and emotional wellbeing.

Some of our areas have changed in order to accommodate the children's interests and curriculum. The reading area has become quite Autumnal as we talk about the world around us and change. The small world has changed into nights, dragons and castles, this was inspired by child interest. In the construction area we have been rolling conkers down pipes and making conker traps!.

Halloween is upon us and a there is a few spooky things going on in the nursery class!

To reflect our topic changing to Diwali and Fire Safety we have a few new tables in our classroom. We have fire work drawing using chalks, rocket building using a selection of 2d and 3d shapes and our fire safety table.

Winter is well and truly here and this is reflected in our classroom set up this term. Every where there are flurries of snowflakes and swirls of snow and even a Polar region!

The children have requested a garage in our role play area, so thanks to Mrs Tomlinson and some tools we have created a Garage. Its is very popular and I am sure we can do you a discount for MOT's!

Our small world area has now become a space station, full of Aliens, space ships and Astronauts.
